A famous Pakistani cricketer and politician Imran Khan was born in Mianwali on 25 November 1952. He played cricket for two decade in last 20th century for Pakistan internationally. After retiring, he entered in politics and Join Pakistan Tehreek Insaf.
He played for pakistani cricket team from 1971 to 1992 and served as its captain internationally from 1982 to 1992. After retiring from cricket at the end 1987, he was called back to rejoin the team in 1988. At 39, Khan led his teammates to the 1st and only one victory of world cup. Khan has record of 3807 runs and 362 wickets in test matches making him one of the eight world cricketers to have achieved All-rounder,s tripple in test macthes.
Khan married on 16 may, 1995 with Jamima Goldsmith in an Islamic ceremony in Paris.
Khan has two sons Suleman and Qasim Khan.

In April 1996, Khan founded PTI and became the Chairmain of PTI. By fund raising worldwide Khan established Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Center and NAMAL college
