Arfa Karim Randhawa World,s Youngest Microsoft Certified Professional

Arfa Karim was born on February 2,1995 in chak 4JB Ram Dewali a village in district Faisalabad.  She belongs to Jatt Randhawa Family.  She got the title of Microsoft Certified Professional in 2004 at a very early age of nine years and kept it until 2008.  She was the world,s youngest Microsoft certified professionals.  










She was invited by Chairman Microsoft Bil gates to visit Microsoft Headquarters in USA.  After returning from USA she had numerous interviews with television and newspaper.  In August 2005, she was presented Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal in the field of Science and Technology by PM of Pakistan Shaukat Aziz on the occasion of 113th Birth Anniversary  of Fatima Jinnah.  Arfa Karim was also presented Salam Pakistan Youth Award by President of Pakistan again in August 2005.






  

She is also recipient of Pride of Performance, a civil award which is granted to those people who have shown an excellence in their respective field over a long period of time.  Arfa was the youngest recipient of this award.  She was honored as brand Ambassador for Pakistan Telecommunication Co,s 3G Wireless Brodband Services named EVO in January 2010.

A dinner was hosted by Pakistan IT Professionals in Dubai,in recognition to Arfa,s achievement.  Dignitaries of Dubai and Ambassador of Pakistan also participate in this dinner.  During that dinner in Dubai, Arfa flew plane in a flying club at the age of only 10 years and received a first flight certificate.  She also received a lot of awards and gifts from participants of dinner including a laptop.   Arfa also attended Tech Ed Conference held in Barcelona on invitation from Microsoft.  She was the only Pakistani among 5000 Developers around world.

In  2011, she was studying in her 2nd year of A Level in Lahore Grammar School at Paragon Campus.  She suffered from cardiac arrest after epileptic seizure which damaged her brain.  She was admitted in CMH Lahore in a very critical situation. 

On 9 January, Bil Gates made contact with her parents and directed doctors to adopt every kind of measure for her treatment.  Gates also set up a panel of International Doctors in USA.  They remain in contact with her local doctors through teleconference.  They discussed the detail of illness and provide the assistance in diagnosis and treatment.  Being on Ventilator and in a critical situation, local doctors dismissed the option of Arfa to be shift in an other hospital.  Family member and relative of Arfa, lauded Gates offer to bear expenses of her treatment.

On 13 January, Arfa started to improve and some parts of her brain show improvement.  
But on 14 January 2012 at 9:50 PM she died in CMH Lahore.    
Her Namaz E Janaza was offered in Cavalry Ground Lahore on 15 January at 10 :00 AM and in Faisalabad on the same day.  Her funeral was performed in her inherited Village Chak No.4JB Ram Dewali Fsd.  Funeral was also attended by Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
